Seeks qualified and interested person to fill
the following position
House/Client Support Advocate
LONDON, KY 40741
Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (varied)
Occasional weekends and holidays
Maintains all daily house and kitchen activities for the Cumberland Valley Domestic Violence Services to include: Federal Food Program (CACFP), grocery shopping, outside support pickup, providing trainings for residents on life skills such as menu planning, cooking, household budgeting, health/hygiene/safety, shopping, nutrition and all other areas included in operating a residential home/kitchen through classroom education, hands-on training and role-modeling. Provides advocacy through conflict resolution, mentoring, problem identification, empowering and support for living in a violence free environment. Works closely with community support agencies in procuring all items needed to support shelter services.
REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED plus up to 18 months of education or training beyond the high school level. 2 – 4 years of successful experience in a job-related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
